HSL shuts down free Wi-Fi in Helsinki trams

In 2007 Helsinki started to provide free wireless internet access for public transportation commuters. The free Wi-Fi has now been shut down in Helsinki trams.

According to Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) using the wireless connection causes interference with displays showing news, public transport information and ads to passengers. HSL promises to find technical solutions to bring the free Wi-Fi back to use.
